TThese images are from the flag, coat of arms and city of Talavera:

It is said that true praetor of the Roman Empire, following the old custom of erecting monuments to commemorate victories, held its entry in Talavera lifting in the area of the Remarried the figure of two bulls next to a tower.Apparently, the tower that appears in our shield represents the numerous towers flanking towers that filled our city; and the two bulls are not bulls, but an ox and a cow, and symbolize a Roman custom very curious that consists of loose these animals hooked to a chute. The furrow to contend the walk was followed by Roman engineers for a can on the way. This custom is no superstition, on the contrary, is based on a reasoning very crafty, the bullocks always looking for the ground less difficult (especially in the promotions). The formula of engineering was symbolized for always in the shield Talaverano, therefore was also used to delimit the end of our city. But there is a legend that totally invented gives another explanation of the symbols of our shield.Apparently, this is an ox and cow were the only animals that remained after the walled enclosure where the Talavera's residents resisted a siege. The days passed and the two cattle each time they were closer to serve lunch to the besieged. When the hunger became unbearable and the Talavera's residents already came with a knife to give the Tagus to the poor beasts, they are an idea occurred: opened the door of the compound and were left free.By this signal the enemies understood that to Talavera's residents we doubted the food, and seeing that the siege could be extended indefinitely, dropped their attempt and left, because the enemies nor went too loose of provisions. The coat of arms, therefore, reflect the time in which the bulls of the walls and give the victory to the Talavera's residents.
